LeTonya "Tonya" Dale is a distinguished humanitarian, mentor, and business entrepreneur. She serves as the proprietor and executive director of Empowered Women of Virginia, Inc. (EWOV), a non-profit organization.
In 2011, Tonya received a divine vision during a challenging period in her life, igniting her passion for aiding others and prompting her to take a leap of faith. Amid establishing the business, she confronted personal struggles and trauma stemming from childhood experiences of physical and sexual abuse, eventually leading to a profound understanding of her journey.
EWOV provides support to women grappling with homelessness, domestic violence, and reintegration post-incarceration. Through guidance and resources, individuals are empowered to achieve self-sufficiency, and when needed, connected with local shelters for safe accommodation. Collaborating with community donors and local retailers, EWOV acquires essential items for daily living and organizes quarterly giveaways of clothing, household goods, toiletries, and furniture to alleviate the burden on individuals and families.
Embarking on a faith-driven endeavor 2.5 years ago, Tonya established SheWear By Tonya, a boutique catering to women seeking distinctive and standout fashion. Specializing in upcycling existing clothing items, Tonya transforms the ordinary into artistic expressions, fueled by a vision and provision she attributes to divine inspiration.
Residing in the Hampton Roads area of VA with her husband and family, Tonya exemplifies resilience in overcoming adversity and finds joy in being a living testament to God's glory.
